A secret gem of the Woolshed at Jondaryan grounds is our variety of accommodation options. Whilst we are located just 30 minutes from Toowoomba and Dalby, in the heart of the Darling Downs, in order to gain the complete “Woolshed Experience” you must stay where you can really see the stars at night.

Visitors to the region will find the Woolshed at Jondaryan grounds an excellent location to serve as a “home base” as they go out exploring during the day. Our friendly staff and volunteers can recommend plenty of day trips to keep you busy.

Accommodation guests are always welcome to take advantage of the various catering venues the Woolshed at Jondaryan has on site. These options are listed below.

Historic Rustic Quarters

Experience the reality of life as a shearer with accommodation in our rustic Shearers Quarters.  Built in the late 1800′s from corrugated iron, these rooms are certainly authentic! Sit on the verandah with a cool drink or meet up with friends in the cook house close by with its open fire pit. The Woolshed at Jondaryan, under the management of the Kent family, actually missed out on the shearer’s strike that began the Australian Labor Party… because of the way they (the Kents) treated their workers.

Accommodation Packages for these quarters will include linen, but if you would prefer you can roll out your sleeping bags or swags.

Caravan Park

We have hardstand powered van park facilities for up to 30 vans on a day-to-day basis, with additional facilities available for up to 80 vans. WE ARE PET FRIENDLY!!

There is almost unlimited unpowered accommodation all the way to the “Woolshed Heights” down by the creek. Our facilities are “rustic” but everything is provided clean washhouse facilities, Laundromat, a bush kitchen with BBQ’s, and refrigeration. The ideal spot for relaxing!

Camping

Powered or unpowered sites with access to all of our facilities as listed above.  Pitch a tent (or a few) from the Park area to the creek, just pick a little patch of heaven to call your own!  Unlimited possibilities!!
